Garden Party

Plant and garden sale
Check out the selections at the library’s annual Plant and Garden Sale. Proceeds benefit the library. Make sure to get the flowers and plants you want by preordering. Preorders are due by the end of the day on May 9.
If you preorder flats and/or baskets, you will be able to pick them up 10 a.m.-5 p.m. May 20 or 21. If you didn’t place an order, don’t panic! There will be plenty of flowers, vegetables, hanging baskets and garden items available for purchase.
Makerspace take-home kits
The library offers a Makerspace take-home kit on Mondays that can be picked up and enjoyed at home. Each kit features directions and materials. Call or register online to reserve a kit. Registration is required to account for supplies.
May 9, Cup Weaving – Use a small paper cup and twine to create a mini woven container.
May 16, Message in a Bottle – Create a tiny message in a bottle using craft supplies.
Natureology: Whales
Even larger than dinosaurs, these smart, beautiful creatures made their home in the ocean after millions of years on land. What do they eat to get so big? And are they related to us in some way? Join Tony Palermo from 5:30-6:30 p.m. May 10 for a program on whales. Registration is required.
Robotics & Coding Club at the library
Stop by the library to engage with a variety of tools that will allow you to develop your skills in robotics, programming and coding. This self-guided program will be open to patrons from 4:30-6:30 p.m. May 23. This is a drop-in program for all ages, but we ask for registration so we know you’re coming.
Technology help
The library can help with the basic skills in using computers, smartphones, eReaders and more. In these one-on-one, 30-minute sessions, we can focus on the specific skills you need.
Wednesdays, May 4-25, 2-4 p.m. and Thursdays, May 5-26, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Registration is required. Include the specific topics you need assistance with during your registration.
