Trio of authors to speak at event sponsored by North Hills ‘University Women’ chapter

The annual fundraiser for the North Hills Chapter of the Association of American University Women will feature a gathering of three Pittsburgh-area authors to discuss their books and writing on Oct. 5 at La Roche University in McCandless.

AAUW’s “For the Love of Books, Fall Harvest” will feature a discussion with writers Sydelle Pearl, “Wordwings”; Madhu Bazaz Wangu, “The Last Suttee, The Immigrant Wife, and Chance Meetings”; and Paula Reed Ward, “Death by Cyanide.”

The event begins at 10 a.m. and includes author presentations, a book signing, lunch and dessert.

The cost is $40 per person payable by check to AAUW North Hills Pittsburgh. Checks should be sent to 920 Camelot Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15237. Include an email address to receive a confirmation.

The deadline to purchase tickets is Sept. 28.
