Registration is open for a summer recreation program for children who live in the North Allegheny School District’s attendance area.
The program includes arts and crafts, team sports and group recreational activities. It will be held weekdays from 8:45 a.m. to noon and is open to kids living in Bradford Woods, Franklin Park, Marshall and McCandless.
Children must have completed first grade to participate. Lunch will not be served and caregivers are responsible for transporting children to and from the program sites.
The program runs from June 10 to July 3 and costs $135 per child, which must be paid in cash or by check on the first day of attendance. Checks should be made payable to the Town of McCandless.
The fee covers the cost of the program and a $50 deductible for insurance to supplement any accident policy held by the family.
Completed registration and medical authorization forms must be presented at the time the fee is paid. The forms will be sent home with students during the last week of school.
