Three churches in the North Hills are playing host to shopping events that just might be heaven on earth for bargain hunters.

North Hills Christian Church

North Hills Christian Church is hosting a trunk sale in the parking lot from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 21.

Residents from the surrounding neighborhoods will fill the parking lot to create a series of “mini-yard sales” filled with items.

There also will be food trucks and a bounce house for the kids.

The church is at Thompson Run and Amity roads in Ross Township.

St. John’s Lutheran

Three groups from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Perrysville are holding an event Oct. 12 to raise money to support local charities and ongoing community service projects.

The Men of St. John’s will hold a flea market with more than 25 vendors in the lower level, rear entrance of the church.

The Women of St. John’s will hold its Christian Closet, where shoppers can fill a bag of gently worn clothing, shoes and accessories for $5.

The Youth of St. John’s will hold a bake sale and sell hot dogs and other treats.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is at 920 Perry Highway in Ross.

For details, call the church office at 412-364-6626.

Christ Episcopal Church

Christ Episcopal will hold its second annual “Good Stuff Sale” on Oct. 18 and 19, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

The sale includes nearly 30 tables where a multitude of items will be sold by individual church members and vendors, including crafts, specialty soaps, collections and home goods.

The popular “Big Big Bake Sale” also will be held for hungry shoppers.

Parking and admission is free.

All proceeds will benefit the Food Pantry Funds.

The church is at 5910 Babcock Boulevard in Ross.
