Pine-Richland Cheer team finishes fourth at state championships

The Pine-Richland High School Competitive Cheerleading Squad placed fourth at the state championship on Jan. 11 and 12, in Hershey, Pa.

They earned second place in the Small Varsity Division and fourth overall in the WPIAL Championships hosted at Hempfield High School on Jan. 5. The final stop for this 2018-19 team is High School Nationals in Orlando on Feb. 8 to 10. They will compete in the Small Varsity Division and Game Day Division.

Team members include: Senior Captains Ally Czerski, Makenzie Marburger and Holly Stewart; juniors Emma Coleman, Abby Casario, Jacqueline Gill, Kate Kwasnick and Sammy Nudi; sophomore Taylor McWhirter; and freshmen Abby Dewick, Amanda Marburger, Morgan Roupe and Sarah Vigna.

The team is coached by Corey Doyle, Amanda Kerestes, Jenna Mansfield and Mariah Wojciechowski.
