1 injury reported at 2-alarm fire in Franklin Park

One person was injured in a fire Monday in Franklin Park.

The two-alarm fire was reported shortly after 2 p.m. at home in the 2500 block of Cole Road, according to emergency dispatchers.

Emergency responders reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the structure and had to rescue a resident from the home.

A second alarm to summon additional firefighters to the scene was sounded about 2:14 p.m.

Allegheny County reported on Twitter that one person was injured as a result of the fire.

Information about the extend of the injuries was not immediately available.
