North Hills School District renews contract with assistant superintendent
Beth Williams renewed her contract as North Hills School District assistant superintendent. She will remain in the role for at least the next five years.
“I was lucky enough to have them choose me to come back,” Williams said during a January school board meeting. “I’ve had the honor and privilege of serving this district a long time, so to be able to continue on in this position is a privilege.”
Williams said that she works with a great team of administrators, teachers, students and community members every day.
She was administered the oath of office by Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Judge Sabrina Korbel. Williams has served as assistant superintendent since 2019, and her current contract expires in June. Her new contract is effective through June 2029.
Williams expressed gratitude and admiration when talking about continuing with the district.
“Despite the size — we’re a large district — there’s still a family atmosphere,” she said. “Our teachers go above and beyond for our kids, and our administrators go above and beyond for our teachers. We have a very collaborative relationship with our parents. We’re a large community, but we have a small community feel.”
Williams was hired by the district in 2006 as assistant principal at North Hills Middle School, and she later served as principal of Highcliff Elementary School and North Hills High School. According to the district website, prior to North Hills, she was a high school social studies teacher in Avonworth School District.
