North Allegheny accepting applications for Distinguished Alumni Award

The North Allegheny Foundation is accepting nominations through Oct. 22 for its annual Distinguished Alumni Award.

The award recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions to society or outstanding professional accomplishments.

Areas of consideration include:

• Advancement of their profession; expertise and dedication to their field.

• Significant professional innovations or research findings.

• Significant contributions for the advancement of the community.

Nominations are being accepted in nine categories — arts, business, community service, education, government, law, medicine, science and young professional 40 and under.

Nominations are only being accepted online.

The award winners will be recognized at the Distinguished Alumni Gala on Jan. 23, 2020.
