In brief: Road closed, West View Hub events and more in the North Hills

Part of McIntyre Road closed
McIntyre Road between Byron Road and Thompson Run Road in Ross Township is closed through December 2023 for the replacement of Pine Creek South Branch Bridge No. 10, including new pavement, guide rail, pavement markings and signage.
Traffic will be detoured using Thompson Run Road, Duncan Avenue, Peebles Road and McKnight Road. Residents living near the closure area will have access to their homes at all times.
The $1 million project will be done by Pugliano Construction Company, Inc., of Plum.
West View Hub
Kick off summer with Hub Fest from 5-9 p.m. June 7, which will celebrate the West View Hub’s fourth year as a community space. The event will also include the grand opening of HUB Works, an immersive arts space.
North Hills Arts Center Summer Camp will run June 12-16. Students in grades 4-8 can register to learn the the basics of drawing, sketching and shading.
Fencing camp for grades 5-12 runs 1:30-4:30 p.m. June 12-16. Coach Adam Marthens of Corsair Fencing Club in Etna will run the program. Register online at tinyurl.com/2p9fk7xt.

Car show
On May 27, from 4-6 p.m., Hampton Presbyterian Church is hosting its fifth car show. All makes and models are welcome. The grill will be hot, the sodas will be cold, and the tunes will be spinning. Feel free to bring your own tables, chairs and EZ-ups. There will be family-friendly fun, music by DJ Denny Dutko, vintage vehicles and snacks. Stroll amongst the vehicles, gab with the owners, then sit back, relax and enjoy the spring evening.
