McCandless police issued an alert to residents June 12 to inform them that a non-profit environmental group will be going door-to-door until September.

Representatives from Clean Water Action will be canvassing daily from 4 to 9 p.m., according to police.

The group is exempt from the requirements of the municipality’s Transient Vendor permit, but will be carrying identification cards issued by the organization.
