Helping young drivers learn to keep their eyes on the road instead of their smart phones, the radio or passengers is the topic of a free program Thursday evening in Bradford Woods.

“Drive Without Distracts: A Parent and Young Driver Education Session” is being presented in partnership with the Northern Regional Police Department, PA DUI Association, Impact Teen Drivers and the Connor Johnson Memorial Foundation.

Organizers of the July 25 program note that vehicle accidents are the number one cause of death for teenagers in the United States.

Each day in the U.S., approximately nine people are killed and more than 1,000 injured in crashes that are reported to involve a distracted driver, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The borough building is located at 4908 Wexford Run Road.
