A second teenager killed after a speeding car with six passengers crashed in McCandless early Saturday was identified Tuesday afternoon.
Jonathan Tourney, 14, of Gibsonia, died after being flown to an area hospital at 4:32 a.m. Saturday, just an hour after the crash occurred at the intersection of Babcock Boulevard and Irwin Street, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
Another teen in the car — Taylor Orlowski, 18, of Baden — died at the scene, the medical examiner said.
Police responded to the intersection at about 3:20 a.m. Saturday and found six people inside the vehicle, Allegheny County Police spokesman Jim Madalinsky said.
Two passengers, who police did not name, were taken to an area hospital in stable condition, Madalinsky said. Two other people in the vehicle were not injured.
Police believe the driver of the car was speeding and lost control, then struck a tree. Madalinsky said the driver was an 18-year-old man but did not confirm an identiy.
