If you’re looking for good food and good beer — to benefit a good cause — Delmont is the borough to be in this weekend.

Both the Delmont Recreation Board and the Murrysville-Export Rotary will be hosting events over the weekend to benefit local causes.

On Saturday, the second annual “Brewhaus in Newhouse Park” event will be at 3 p.m. at the park, just off Stotler Drive in Delmont.

The cost is $20 (kids are free), which benefits the Delmont Recreation Board. It includes a complimentary beer. Live music will be provided by Jim O’Brien Acoustic and The Phisbins.

A food truck and pizza will be available, along with beer from Yellow Bridge Brewing in Delmont. For details, call 412-496-0687.

On Sunday, the Murrysville Export Rotary Club’s annual Low Country Boil will be held from 3-7 p.m., also at Newhouse Park.

The cost is $30 (children under 6 are free), and includes corn on the cob, smoked sausage, red potatoes, shrimp, crab legs and beverages including beer and wine.

Proceeds will benefit the Rotary’s support of Franklin Regional School District’s “Backpacks to Go” program, which supplies food for children in need.

For more, call 724-519-7369 or 412-558-4552.
