The Murrysville Woman’s Club will offer two $3,000 scholarships for the 2019-20 school year to women 21 years or older who live in Westmoreland County.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in college or provide proof of acceptance for enrollment.

The club has offered the scholarships since 1983.

“We try to make sure we look for people who are returning to school who don’t have access to normal scholarships,” scholarship chair Joyce Somers said. “We saw a need years and years ago for women who need to return to college, and there just weren’t any scholarships out there.”

Applications are available at all Westmoreland County libraries, at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, Penn State New Kensington, Seton Hill University and Westmoreland County Community College’s Youngwood campuses.

Applications must be received by May 15.

For more, call Somers at 724-327-8491.
