Municipal election results in Bridgeville, Collier, Heidelberg and Scott

Bridgeville
Mayor Betty Copeland ran unopposed and was reelected to a four-year term. She received 939 votes and there were 29 write-ins.
For council, three incumbents will retain their seats — Democrat William Henderson received 685 votes and Republicans Joseph Verduci and Bruce Ghelarducci received 589 and 540 votes, respectively, according to the Allegheny County Office of Elections unofficial results.
“I am excited to continue to build on what we have accomplished in Bridgeville in the past few years and to move forward with many other projects that will be completed in 2022 and beyond,” Verduci said. “My sincere appreciation goes out to the residents of Bridgeville, and please do not hesitate to reach out to me at any time.”
Newcomer Justine Cimarolli received 535 votes and will join council on Jan. 3.
Collier
Six candidates were on the ballot for three seats on the Collier board of commissioners. Republicans Timothy Young and Wayne Chiurazzi and Democrat Mary Ann Cupples Wisniowski were the top three vote-getters.
Chiurazzi, an attorney, is currently the board’s president and Cupples Wisniowski, a teacher and reading specialist, is also currently on the board of commissioners. Young, who is a retired teacher and retired Lieutenant Colonel United States Army Reserves, is the newcomer of the group.
Heidelberg
Democrats Dorothy McCartney and Richard Pattinato and Republican Charles Jones received the most votes with 161, 160 and 125, respectively.
Republican John Duda was just shy of winning one of the three open seats on council with 122 votes. Democrat Sharon Wicobroda received 118 votes.
Scott
In Scott’s commissioner race, only one ward, Ward 4, had a contested race. There, Democrat Samuel Dalfonso beat out Republican Raymond Owens 365 to 153.
In Ward 2, Brandon Edwards, who was cross-filed, ran unopposed and received 230 votes. There were also 176 write-in votes.
In Ward 6, incumbent Democrat Michelle Sedlak was the only candidate on the ballot, and in Ward 8, incumbent Democrat Angela Wateska was the only candidate on the ballot.
