Police seek woman missing since November
Pittsburgh police are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman who has been missing since Nov. 17.
Elissa Jackson, 43, was described by police as 5 feet, 5 inches and 130 pounds. She has short black hair and hazel eyes.
Police said it’s known that Jackson often spends time in the city’s Homewood neighborhood as well as in Penn Hills and Homestead.

Yearlong McKnight Road construction starting soon
Improvement work on McKnight Road, also known as Route 4003, will begin Monday as part of the part of the $25.5 million McKnight Road improvement project, PennDOT said.
Construction will be taking place in the city of Pittsburgh, and Ross and McCandless townships. Work will begin Monday night on McKnight Road between Venture Street and Perrymont Road, and continue weeknights from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. as crews begin pipe and drainage cleaning.
Single-lane restrictions in the parts of McKnight Road that have three lanes of traffic will also regularly be in place, PennDOT said, though left turning lanes along the roadway will remain accessible unless otherwise noted.
The project is expected to end in spring 2025. It includes bridge and culvert preservation, milling and paving, base repairs, drainage upgrades and repairs, pipe cleaning, guide rail, signal, and ADA ramp upgrades, waterline replacement, concrete mountable curb replacement and new signage and pavement markings between Venture Street and Perrymont Road, including the Babcock Boulevard/Evergreen Road ramps.
Restrictions will also eventually include a 12-day closure of the Nelson Run Road interchange, two weekend closures at the Venture Street intersection, two crossovers at the Babcock Boulevard/Evergreen Road interchange, and several overnight ramp closures for paving operations and structure repairs.
The head contractor on the project is Lindy Paving, Inc.
