Nothing Bundt Cakes, 3740 William Penn Highway, celebrated its grand opening in a sweet way recently with a multi-day celebration.

Following a ribbon cutting with the Monroeville Area Chamber of Commerce, Nothing Bundt Cakes held a Monroeville Public Library Benefit Day during which 20% of the sales were donated to the library.

“We were excited that so many people came in saying that they wanted to support the library and try our delicious cakes for the first time,” said Cathy Kelly and Erin Tabon, owners of the bakery. “We both love to read, and as lifelong library supporters, we felt the Monroeville Public Library was a great choice for our benefit partner. They have so much to offer the community and we were very happy to present them with a check for $900 as a result of the sales that day.”

Library director Nicole Henline expressed her appreciation.

“The response of the community was amazing, and we are grateful to Cathy and Erin for choosing the library to be a benefit partner,” she said. “We are so happy that we can work together to support a great new local business, and look forward to working together in the future.”
