Monroeville Recreation and Parks is offering discounted lift tickets to two ski resorts through the end of the season.

The tickets for Seven Springs Mountain Resort and Hidden Valley Resort were bought through consignment in an annual partnership with the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society.

Costs are as follows:

• Hidden Valley: Monday through Thursday all day for $43. Twilight hours, 1 to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday for $39.

• Seven Springs: Monday through Thursday for $58. Twilight hours, 1 to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday for $46.

There are no tickets available for weekend outings to the resorts, when they are typically the busiest, said Joanne Morris, the department’s Program and Special Events Director.

Prices do not include the rental of equipment and they are only available for sale through March, or whenever the resorts close for the season.

Tickets can be purchased at the Monroeville municipal building in the Recreation and Parks department. All ticket sales are final and the tickets are available for anyone, not just Monroeville residents.

“It’s a good thing if you like to go skiing and snowboarding, and it saves you a few bucks,” Morris said.

Morris said the department earns around $.50 per ticket sale. The rest, she said, goes to PRPS. “So it’s really just another service for the community,” she said.
