Endangering children, simple assault among charges handled recently by Monroeville judge Jeffrey Herbst

Monroeville District Judge Jeffrey L. Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police.

Held for court

• Dante Joshua Gist, 30, of New Kensington on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under a revoked or suspended license and having windows that are tinted too dark. Charges were filed Jan. 20.

• Elizabeth Anna Rexrode, 40, of Pittsburgh on charges of endangering the welfare of children, making a false oral statement, conspiracy, making terroristic threats, corruption of minors and making a statement under penalty. Charges were filed Feb. 6.

• John Kubli, 73, of Pitcairn on charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment. Charges were filed Jan. 29.

Waived for court

• Luther Springs, 30, of Monroeville on charges of making terroristic threats, possession of a weapon and criminal mischief. Charges were filed Feb. 4.
