Monroeville District Court Judge Jeffrey Herbst handled these cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. Charges were filed by Monroeville police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• Storm Alexander Howard, 26, of McKeesport on charges of simple assault and harassment. Charges were filed Jan. 1.

Waived for court

• Shane Lee Evans, 34, of Pittsburgh on charges of retail theft, criminal conspiracy, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Dec. 28.

• Edy Elizabeth Allen, 34, of Pittsburgh on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, receiving stolen property, disorderly conduct and possession of drugs. Charges were filed Dec. 29.
