A man was fatally shot early Sunday morning in the South Side, according to Pittsburgh police.

Devon Alexander, 33, was found about 1 a.m. at the intersection of South 13th and East Carson streets with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Police used tourniquets to stem the bleeding until medics arrived.

The man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died, police said.

Police continue to investigate.
