A Pittsburgh man died after being shot late Tuesday in the city’s Elliott neighborhood, police said.

The man was found with several gunshot wounds around 10:30 p.m. inside a home off Wilna Way in the area of Lorenz Avenue, city police said. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, where he later died.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified him as Jacob Morroni, 37.

Witnesses told investigators that Morroni was involved in an altercation with another man at the time of the shooting. The suspect fled on foot, police said.
