Sleepy Hollow Road bridge replacement

Crews will begin replacing Sleepy Hollow Bridge No. 1, which carries Sleepy Hollow Road in South Park, at 9 a.m. Aug. 23. The project, which is expected to end in December, also includes bridge approach work and streambank stabilization.

Before removing the existing bridge, crews will create a temporary road to allow access to Sleepy Hollow Academy throughout the project. Pedestrians and cyclists also will have access to the nearby trail throughout the project.

The work is being done by Pugliano Construction Co., Inc., of Pittsburgh as part of the $1.7 million 2021 Capital Bridges contract.
