AHN’s Pine hospital receives $1M grant

The state’s Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program has awarded the Allegheny Health Network $1 million for new parking lots for its 160-bed hospital in Pine.

State Rep. Rob Mercuri, R-Pine, said the grant program is used for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.

Funding is provided to projects that have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenues or other measures of economic activity, he said.
