County offers ice rink passes

Winter season passes for Allegheny County facilities are available for purchase.

A skate rink season pass, which provides the holder access to any public session but does not include rental equipment, costs $50 for county residents ages 18 to 59 and $63 for nonresidents. For residents 60 and older, the cost is $25, and for nonresidents, $31.

Season passes are not available for those under 18. Regular daily admission would apply $5 for residents and $6 for nonresidents.

The North Park ice rink at 1101 Pearce Mill Road will be open mid-November through mid-March, weather and conditions permitting.

Fall leaf collection

Hampton community services and Road Crews is collecting residents’ paper biodegradable leaf bags through Dec. 1 during the weeks that Waste Management does not collect yard waste.

Residents are advised to place leaf bags at the curb by 6 a.m. on the normal garbage and recycling days.
