The Hampton School District’s annual Talbot Thon fundraiser will be held from 3:30 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Hampton High School.

The high school Student Council partners with the Pitt Dance Marathon to organize the event. This year, they hope to raise $30,000 for UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh’s pediatric cancer treatment and research.

Last year’s Talbot Thon exceeded the same goal, raising nearly $39,000.

During the thon, students will compete in various events, including dodgeball, volleyball, food-eating contests, lip sync battles and yard games.

During community hours from 5 to 7 p.m., Hampton families and community members are invited to eat, play games and watch the competitions. A basket raffle also will be held for residents, students and their families.

Those unable to attend can make a donation online.
