The Shaler Area School Board unanimously voted March 20 to pay more than $524,000 to replace Biles Field’s turf.
Montreal-based FieldTurf will provide the artificial turf. Shaler Area used the company when renovating Titan Stadium in 2016.
The motion states the replacement is “subject to a notice to proceed following completion of the subsurface inspection and remediation if needed.”
The pricing structure is based on costs acquired through the Keystone Purchasing Network, a national purchasing co-operative for education and local government.
