Aquinas Academy student wins science award

Hunter Harrison, an eighth grade student at Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh, was awarded the Society of American Military Engineers Fisher Scientific Award at the Covestro Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair on March 29at Heinz Field. Harrison’s project was titled “Sensational Sandbag Stuffers.”

More than 1,000 students from over 100 schools across Western Pennsylvania and Maryland competed for $1,000,000 in cash prizes and scholarships this year.
