Aquinas Academy student shines at Science, Engineering Fair

Franklin Park resident Liam Ellis, an eighth grader at Aquinas Academy of Pittsburgh, located in Hampton, placed second at Carnegie Science Center’s Covestro Pittsburgh Regional Science & Engineering Fair in the category: Medicine/Health/Biochemistry – Junior Division. His project was titled “The Bacteria Among Us: Do bathrooms have more germs than other surfaces in a school?”

More than 1,000 students from 100 schools across Pennsylvania and Maryland competed for awards, prizes and scholarships at the science fair, which took place March 30, at Heinz Field.
