The nonprofit animal rescue Paws Across Pittsburgh hosted a free event at Hartwood Acres on Aug. 1 to celebrate our four-legged friends.
The park in Indiana Township was filled with educational booths and handouts from Allegheny County Parks, along with a visit from the Wish 99.7 Sweet Treats truck.
The organization is run by volunteers and is based in Springdale. Their goals include providing vet and preventative care to rescue animals while trying to find them forever homes.
