North Hills Outreach food pantry coordinator Jon Jordan, volunteer Carly Chambers and her daughter, Dani, 8, of Deer Lakes helped with last year’s food distribution outside the Blawnox borough building.

North Hills Community Outreach brings its free food distribution program back to Blawnox from 2-3 p.m. June 16 outside the borough building.

Volunteers haul about 600 pounds of food to give away to people regardless of income or residency. They set up shop for about an hour at three different spots all in one day.

People can get fresh produce, frozen seafood, meats, pet food, baby food, diapers and personal hygiene products.

Other locations for NHCO distribution this year include the Free Store along Little Deer Creek Valley Road in West Deer and Fremont Square Apartments in Bellevue.

Other dates on the schedule are July 14, Aug. 18, Sept. 15 and Oct. 20.

More information about the outreach is available at nhco.org or by calling 412-487-6316.
