Memorial tree planting scheduled at Camp Guyasuta for Patricia Todd

Long-time Girl Scout Leader Patricia Todd, who passed away in March from complications of cancer, will be honored by the Fox Chapel Area Girl Scout community with a memorial tree planting on July 21 at 6 p.m. at Camp Guyasuta.

All are welcome. No RSVP is necessary.

Todd, of Indiana Township was a member of the inaugural Fox Chapel Area Sunset Camp in 2010, and the tree planting will take place during Sunset Camp to recognize her dedication and commitment to Girl Scouts.

She attended the College of William & Mary and earned her Master’s degree in education from the Citadel.

She worked at both the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and at the Historic Charleston Foundation.

She helped create and run Field Day and Colonial Day at Hartwood Elementary School and was an involved member of Christ Church Fox Chapel for 24 years, serving as part of the Vestry and Women’s Group.

Camp Guyasuta is located at 300 23rd St., Sharpsburg.
