Jazz ensemble

The Hillman Center for Performing Arts at Shady Side Academy will present the Pittsburgh-based jazz ensemble The Falbo Trio on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, and the show is open to the public with no tickets required.

The performance will take place in the Peter J. Kountz Black Box Theater of the Hillman Center, located on the SSA Senior School campus, 423 Fox Chapel Road, Fox Chapel.

The Falbo Trio, led by Shady Side Academy graduate Ralph Falbo ’88, has been playing together for more than five years. The trio features Ralph Falbo on piano, his son, Charlie Falbo, on guitar and Lisa Marinacci on vocals. As a drummerless group, The Falbo Trio fills a unique niche in the Pittsburgh jazz landscape.

The trios of Nat Cole, Monty Alexander and Diana Krall are major influences on the group’s music. Learn more at https://falbotrio.com.
