All four elementary schools in the Fox Chapel Area School District are hosting in-person story times for incoming kindergarten students and their parents or guardians.
The program is designed to prepare students for starting kindergarten in the fall of 2023. The students must be at least 5 on or before Sept. 1 to enter kindergarten. Children and their parents or guardians are encouraged to attend all the story times offered at their prospective school.
Fairview Elementary School story times will be Feb. 15, March 15, and April 19 from 2-3 p.m.
Hartwood Elementary School story times will be Feb. 15, March 15, and April 19 from 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Kerr Elementary School story times will be Feb. 16 and March 15 from 2-3 p.m. Incoming students and their parents or guardians are encouraged to attend a 2023-2024 kindergarten family fun night at the school on April 20 from 5:30-7 p.m.
O’Hara Elementary is hosting story times for incoming students with last names beginning with A-L on Feb. 15, March 13, and April 20 from 2-3 p.m. Story times for students with last names beginning with M-Z will be Feb. 16, March 14, and April 21 from 2-3 p.m.
