The FBI and Reserve police are asking the public’s help identifying a man who robbed the Standard Bank in the township on May 27.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Reserve police are asking the public’s assistance in identifying a man responsible for robbing a Standard Bank in Reserve last month.

Two surveillance photographs taken at the bank at 2000 Mount Troy Road during the robbery 2:30 p.m. May 27 were released this week by the FBI.

According to the FBI’s Pittsburgh office, the robber was given cash after handing a note to the teller. The man did not display a weapon but claimed to be armed with one, the FBI reported in a news release.

No injuries were reported.

The man is described as more than 6 feet tall and he was wearing jeans, a white ball cap and a white jacket with a logo on the front.

The amount of money taken in the robbery was not disclosed.

Anyone with information on the robbery should contact the FBI at (412) 432-4000. Anyone providing information can remain anonymous.
