Duquesne woman wanted by police in connection with Pleasant Hills stabbing
Police are looking for a Duquesne woman in connection with a stabbing early Saturday morning in Pleasant Hills.
Pleasant Hills police and first responders found a 27-year-old woman with multiple stab wounds in the 100 block of Cerasi Drive around 4 a.m. Saturday. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
LaShawn Christian, 33, was identified as connected with the stabbing by Allegheny County Police detectives through witness interviews and surveillance video.
Detectives learned that Christian and the woman who had been stabbed were involved in a fight at a gas station on the South Side of Pittsburgh before the incident.
County police said Christian followed her to an apartment building in Pleasant Hills where they got into another fight outside, during which Christian stabbed the other woman several times.
County Police have filed charges against Christian, including attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
Christian is described as 5 feet tall and about 200 pounds.
Police said the public should not approach her if they see her, and instead should call 9-1-1.
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-255-8477 (ALL-TIPS.)
