The 2022 Dean Streator Summer Concert Series, sponsored by the Bethel Park Community Foundation, begins July 10 with a performance by Community Band South, featuring marches, Broadway tunes and concert pieces.

The series, which is resuming following a two-year hiatus because of the covid-19 pandemic, will continue at 2:30 p.m. each Sunday through Aug. 7 at the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Ave. Doors open at 1:30.

Also on the schedule:

• July 17 — New Vintage Big Band transports the audience back in time to the era of Benny Goodman and Tommy Dorsey.

• July 24 — Pittsburgh Banjo Club performs an afternoon full of toe-tapping tunes.

• July 31 — Allegheny Brass Band is featured in a program of classic favorites.

• Aug. 7 —The Keystone Chorus will conclude the series with their barbershop harmonies.

The concerts are free, but contributions to the Bethel Park Community Foundation are welcome. The foundation funds scholarships and projects that benefit residents of Bethel Park in the areas of arts and culture, health and recreation, education and safety.
