As divers were retrieving a man’s body that was reported floating in Montour Run Creek on Friday afternoon in Moon Township, they discovered a second body nearby, according to Allegheny County Police.

First responders were dispatched to the creek, which is in the area of the Montour Run Trail just after 4 p.m., where they found a man’s body floating in about 6 feet of water, county police said.

As divers were retrieving the man, they discovered a second man’s body nearby in about 10 feet of water.

County police said preliminary information does not indicate any signs of foul play.

The bodies were taken to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation and cause-of-death determination.

Police did not identify the two men.
