The bridge carrying traffic from Rosslyn Road onto the inbound side of the Parkway West to be closed “for the next few months,” shortly after a truck crashed into its support structure in early February.

A lack of available construction materials will likely keep it closed a bit longer, PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan said .

“We are about six to eight weeks out from material availability,” he said. “We we’re looking at work beginning around late June.”

The Feb. 2 crash happened about a mile west of Exit 65 on the Parkway West (I-376). With structural inspection and repair-design work complete, PennDOT is now waiting on the construction materials to do the work.

“Once the work begins, the contractor will have a two-week timeframe for it, which will include nightly closures of eastbound I-376,” Cowan said.
