A car cruise to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is scheduled for 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 7 at Highpoint Fitness, 1000 Higbee Drive, Bethel Park.

The cruise is open to classic, exotic and super cars, plus trucks. Donation is $5 per participating show vehicle, and admission for spectators is free.

Food trucks and a disc jockey are featured, and Highpoint Fitness will host an open house with open swim in the aquatic center.

The event is in honor of Gary Carmen, a 1980 Bethel Park High School graduate and classic car enthusiast who received a diagnosis of incurable sarcoma cancer. Because that form of cancer is more prevalent in children, Gary joined with fellow alumnus Jim Gastgeb and Highpoint Fitness to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

For more information about the event, contact info@highpointfitness.com. To make a donation online, visit fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR?px=8106320&fr_id=146930&pg=personal.
