Bethel Park’s fall/winter Live Well Bethel Park Speaker Series kicks off at 7 p.m. Aug. 11 featuring Outreach Teen & Family Services executive director Mary Birks. Birks will discuss programming information that may be helpful to the Bethel Park community.

Already providing counseling services to area students and parents, Birks will shed light on other opportunities to engage with the organization through webinars, podcasts and presentations. During the hour-long presentation, she’ll also be asking for topic ideas for “Outreach 5.0,” in celebration of Outreach Teen & Family Services’ upcoming 50th anniversary in 2024.

“As an advocate for both children and public education for nearly 30 years, I understand the value of working with and listening to partners to get things accomplished for the benefit of kids and families,” Birks said via a news release.

Outreach Teen & Family Services is a non-profit, community-based counseling agency located in the South Hills, with a site available at the Bethel Park Municipal Building (by appointment). Outreach provides professional, confidential, affordable counseling to young people and their families, with services to address anger management, family problems, school-related issues, depression, anxiety, drugs and alcohol, and myriad other issues.

The Aug. 11 Live Well Bethel Park program will be held via Facebook Live on the Municipality of Bethel Park Facebook page, facebook.com/BethelParkMunicipality.
