It’s Halloween weekend in Pittsburgh. Here are some ways to spend it.
Simone Biles
Olympic gymnast Simone Biles will visit PPG Paints Arena, Uptown. Biles, who is the most decorated American gymnast in history, will headline the Gold Over America Tour when it stops in Pittsburgh at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The tour will also include other notable gymnasts such as Olympian Laurie Hernandez as well as Danusia Francis, Morgan Hurd, Peng-Peng Lee and Katelyn Ohashi.

It’s magic
Liberty Magic, Downtown, has four more performances of “Haunted Deceptions” at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Sunday — Halloween.
Todd Robbins will demonstrate what it might be like to reach out to the dead with his theatrical seance experience.
The 75-minute show is described as different than “any other theatrical event you have encountered before.”
Everyone who attends is invited to be involved in the creation of this phenomenon.

Movie night
The Carrie Carpool Cinema is featuring a creepy weekend of drive-in movies at the Carrie Blast Furnaces on the Swissvale/Rankin border. At 7 p.m. Friday, “The Bride of Frankenstein” (1935) will be shown. “The Thing” (1982, rated R) is set for 7 p.m. Saturday.
There will be an optional ghost tour after each viewing.
Sponsored by Rivers of Steel, the spot is set up to resemble a drive-in theater. The Carrie Blast Furnaces were part of the U.S. Steel Homestead Steel Works.
This is the final weekend for the series. The movies will be shown rain or shine. Guests can sit inside their vehicles or outside.

‘The Band’s Visit’
The 10-time Tony Award winning best musical “The Band’s Visit,” featuring music and lyrics by Tony and Drama Desk Award-winner David Yazbek, has resumed its national tour. It will be performed at 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Benedum Center, Downtown.
“The Band’s Visit” tells a joyful, offbeat story of a band of Egyptian musicians who arrive in an Israeli town way off the beaten path. They bring the town to life with their music.
Israeli film actor Sasson Gabay will reprise the role of Tewfiq. Actress Janet Dacal (“Prince of Broadway,” “Wonderland,” “In The Heights”) plays the role of Dina.

Machine Gun Kelly
Rapper Machine Gun Kelly will be at Petersen Events Center in Oakland on Saturday with support from Jxdn and KennyHoopla. The rapper who crossed over into the pop-punk world is set to tour the U.S. this fall on the “Tickets to My Downfall” tour, named for his latest album.
It will be Machine Gun Kelly’s first show in Pittsburgh since June 2019 at Stage AE, according to setlist.fm.
