Three people suffered minor injuries Sunday after two women got stuck on a hill in Shaler’s Fall Run Park.

Shaler police Chief Sean Frank said police, firefighters and emergency medical services went to Fall Run Park just before 1 p.m. to help two women in their 20s who became stuck on a hill after heavy rain passed through.

Fall Run Park features a natural waterfall and walking path that draws visitors.

The women were never in the water, Frank said. Swift-water rescue personnel moved them across the creek, and they were checked for minor injuries.

A neighbor who climbed down the hill also was being checked for a minor injury, Frank said.

No rescuers were hurt.

“Kudos to all first responders involved for their quick response and bringing them to safety,” Frank said.
