A look at each of the homicides that have occurred in Allegheny County in 2025:

Jan. 4: Dorrel Ferguson

Dorrel Ferguson, 19, of Wilkinsburg was found fatally shot with a single gunshot wound to the upper torso on a Wilkinsburg sidewalk.

Jan. 7: Carmello Mosley

Carmello Mosley, 14, of Pittsburgh died from a gunshot wound of the head and neck three days after being accidentally shot by his brother in East Liberty. His brother, Jordan Mosley, faces several charges.

Jan. 18: Taja Griggs

Taja Emmalee Griggs, 26, was fatally shot in Pittsburgh’s Perry South neighborhood.

Jan. 20: Sean Johnson

Sean Russell Johnson Jr., 30, of Turtle Creek died from a gunshot to the head in a shooting in Duquesne in which a woman was also left in critical condition.

Jan. 23: Catherine Lawing

Cathering Lawing, 39, of Duquesne died three days after being wounded in a shooting that also killed Sean Johnson Jr.

Feb. 2: Le Andre Porch

Le Andre Porch, 22, of Glassport died after being shot in a Glassport apartment building. Robert Wright, 26, has been arrested and charged with criminal homicide.

Feb. 13: Taylor Hall

Taylor Hall, 26, of Sheraden died from a gunshot wound to the torso, with police saying they found her in a vehicle that crashed into a utility pole in Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood.

Feb. 17: Daniel Smith

Daniel Anthony Smith, 21, of Duquesne was found fatally shot in a McKeesport cemetery.

Feb. 18: Conrad Rozier

Conrad Rozier, 44, of East Hills died at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after being shot in the chest in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood.

Feb. 20: Dameon Hill and Taquaila Daniels

Dameon Hill, 35, of Garfield and Taquaila Lynn Daniels, 24, of Crawford-Roberts were found fatally shot in a car that crashed in Pittsburgh’s Garfield neighborhood, and police found an unharmed 2-year-old in the backseat.

Feb. 26: Darnell Ross

Darnell Ross Jr., 37, of McKeesport was fatally shot in the head after an argument inside Tube City Cafe in McKeesport. Police charged Floyd Noell, 39, of Glassport with criminal homicide.

March 7: Therreus Lindsey

Therreus Lindsey, 27, of Homewood West died after being shot, along with another man, after an argument among housemates in Pittsburgh’s Homewood North neighborhood. Preslin Turner, 36, of Homewood has been charged with homicide.

March 27: Tyrome Gatewood

Tyrome Gatewood, 17, of Carrick died after a friend shot him while they played with guns in a Knoxville home, police said. Khyree Harper, 17, of Pittsburgh’s South Side has been charged with criminal homicide.

March 29: Kurtis Shaw

Kurtis Shaw, 37, of McKeesport died from a gunshot wound of the head and neck after being found in a McKeesport home.

April 1: Johnny Wilson

Johnny Ray Wilson Jr., 44, of Garfield was fatally shot while being robbed in Homewood North, according to police. Shawn Collins, 54, of Pittsburgh and Lavelle Johnson, 33, of Braddock have been charged with homicide.

May 1: Gene Frederick

Gene Frederick, 46, of Penn Hills died amid a gun battle. William Thomas “Zeno” Hurst, 39, has been charged with criminal homicide.
