A Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus crashed into a home on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024 in the city’s Homewood neighborhood. Two people were injured.

Two injuries were reported Tuesday afternoon when a Pittsburgh Regional Transit bus crashed into a home in the city’s Homewood neighborhood.

PRT said in a social media post that the bus driver and another person were taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not thought to be serious.

PRT cited initial reports indicating a vehicle fleeing from Monroeville police struck the bus, which then went off the road and struck a house on Hamilton Avenue.

PRT confirms Monroeville Police were in a pursuit of a suspect, when that suspect crashed into the bus, causing the bus to crash into a home. PRT said the bus driver and a passenger were taken to the hospital.
