Emergency crews battled a fire in Pittsburgh’s Troy Hill section on Friday morning, authorities said.

The incident started at about 6 a.m. in the 1500 block of Lowrie Street, which is closed to traffic.

Firefighters climbed onto the home’s roof to assess the situation as smoke billowed from the second-floor windows.

One person was home and was taken to a hospital for minor smoke inhalation, according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.
