Travel tip: Edinboro festival highlights Appalachian roots

Donna the Buffalo will be among performers at the annual Edinboro Art and Music Festival May 16-19.

The Edinboro Art and Music Festival is an annual showcase of Appalachian-roots art, music and culture.

Scheduled for May 16-19 at venues throughout the Erie County borough, the festival includes live music, stringed instrument workshops, health and well-being workshops, professional and student art shows, food and beverage vendors, art market and auction and children’s tent with art projects, sing-alongs, drum-making and other DIY activities.

Featured among more than two dozen musical acts will be Jakob’s Ferry Stragglers, Donna the Buffalo, Jim Donovan and the Sun King Warriors and Jim Avett, father of the Americana folk-rockers, The Avett Brothers.
