The reviews are in for pianist Nathan Lee, the latest guest artist in the Saint Vincent College Concert Series.

It’s five stars all the way for the 18-year-old virtuoso’s Jan. 25 performance.

“He was one with the piano; that’s the only way to describe it,” said Esther Ulery, who attended with her husband, Jim Ulery.

“I was blown away,” said Michele Boulet, a comment seconded by her husband, Morrie Brand. They know whereof they speak, as both are prominent members of the area music scene.

“He’s a rising star; we were so lucky to have him,” said Thomas Octave, concert series director and chair of the Saint Vincent department of music.

Lee, who already has played for audiences around the world, is the 2020 recipient of Saint Vincent’s Bronder Prize for Piano, awarded in honor of the late concert series founder, Fr. Joseph Bronder.

Concertgoers had the opportunity to meet with Lee at a post-performance reception.
