Greensburg Civic Theatre’s annual gala always features entertainment provided by talented folks associated with the organization.

At “A Starry Night,” held Dec. 11 in the Greensburg Garden and Civic Center, that included scenes from “Disney’s Frozen Jr.,” with three performances scheduled Dec. 20-21 in the civic center’s auditorium.

During the gala’s social hour, board President Barb Rolla said she had intended to encourage guests to buy tickets for the show, being presented by the GCT Greasepaint Players children’s theater troupe. But two performances were already sold out and the third was heading that way.

Not necessarily a bad thing, she acknowledged.

Rolla also took to the stage, along with fellow performers Ben Wren, Alyssa Bruno Walls, Logan Williams, Olivia Meyer Wohar, Breanna Deutsch and Josh List. Emcee was Brian Edward, while musical accompaniment came from Michael Busija on piano and Jesse Walls on drums.

Emily Balizet co-chaired the gala with Rolla, with a committee including Teresa Baughman, Barry Shirey, Margaret Ryan and Tom Harrold.
