From New Orleans to Venice, all the delights of Carnivale were there for the enjoyment of guests at “Masquerade,” the annual Party at The Palace Theatre in Greensburg.

Held Feb. 29, the event gave more than 250 guests, both masked and unmasked, the chance to savor the delights of several different parties all under one roof.

Early VIP arrivals ascended to the theater’s stage for a sold-out masquerade ball, complete with hors d’oeuvres, champagne and music by EBT Jazz.

Opening the main event, the Stage Right Sensations performed on the grand staircase, with numbers including the title song from Stage Right’s weekend production of “Cabaret,” and — et voila — “Masquerade” from “The Phantom of the Opera.”

The Megan Suite had a Big Easy vibe, with more food and drink and rollicking music from Walkin’ Rosie. Under a heated tent in the courtyard, guests sampled Wigle Whiskeys and puffed on Nelson Loguasto’s Cigars.

Harpist Kayla Ostaffe played in the Upper Megan Suite, transformed into a French tea room, complete with a mouth-watering array of chocolates and pastries. The theater’s mezzanine reflected the Carnevale di Venezia.

Event chairs were Peg Colosimo and Dawna Saunders. Committee members included Kevin and Jeanie Bock, Gail Follador, Missy Greenburg, Tom Harrold, Heather Husband, Mary Ann Jaram, Lyn Kedzierski, Connie Mahl, Roseena McLaughlin, Lisa Mensch, Gary Pratt, Missy Smeltz, Crystal Stone and Magdelyn Vale, assisted by volunteers Pete Colosimo, Susan Dickson-Houser, Kary Milan, Cindy Strayer and David Vale.
